Terms

Here's where we actually are.

Most companies treat Terms and Privacy as risk-management documents — pages of fine print designed to protect the company at the user's expense. We could have generated boilerplate ones; every fintech does. We chose not to. Onesta exists to push back against that kind of fine print, so our own pages had better not be the first place we contradict ourselves.

Here's what's actually true today, in plain English.

What Onesta does today

Onesta is in early access. Claro analyzes the numbers you enter on this page and tells you where your household is leaking money and what to do next. The service is free. No accounts. No credit pulls. No connections to your bank.

What happens to your numbers

The numbers you enter into Claro on this page stay on this page. We don't store them. We don't link them to you. We don't share them with anyone. We don't sell anything to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties — there is nothing being sold, because there is nothing being stored.

When you join the waitlist, we collect your name and email. We use that to contact you about Onesta. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. You can email us at hello@getonesta.com any time and ask us to delete it.

Our operating principles

The commitments on our How Onesta works page are how we operate today — every one of them. They cover what we earn, how we rank recommendations, what we will never do with your data, and what we commit to if anything ever goes wrong.

As Onesta evolves and the paid tier launches, our formal Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will be drafted in plain English first and lawyer-tightened second — never the other way around. Companies like Wealthsimple and Wise have proven this is possible. We won't accept "everyone does it this way" as a reason to hide things in fine print.

When the formal documents are ready, they'll formalize the commitments already on this site. They won't contradict them.

If something goes wrong

If your data is ever sold, shared improperly, or accessed without authorization, we'll contact you directly using the email on file within 72 hours of discovery. This commitment is on our How Onesta works page and applies starting today.

If we ever fall short of anything we say here or on the How Onesta works page, please tell us. Email hello@getonesta.com. A real person reads every message.
